What a Youth Sponsor Does
A youth group sponsor is someone that has the time, passion, and talent to spend an hour each week with other sponsors and a large group of students grades 6-12. Our middle school ministry meets from 6:30-7:30 PM and the high school ministry meets from 8:00-9:00 PM on Wednesdays from September through the first week of May. Special events outside of Wednesdays like retreats, trips, and conferences are voluntary and free for youth sponsors to attend. Sponsor responsibilities at youth group are learning student’s names, guiding discussions in small groups, and creating a positive, fun attitude in the room.
What a Sunday Volunteer Does
A Sunday Volunteer is someone that has the time, passion, and talent to spend an hour each week with a small group of students who are of the same grade in middle or high school. Our Sunday school classes happen between 10:50-11:30 AM from the middle of September through the beginning of April. Weekly curriculum and discussion guides are provided for volunteers to lead with. A Sunday volunteer’s responsibilities in leading a Sunday school class are learning student’s stories, guiding Bible study in small groups, and creating a positive attitude in the room.
