Worship/Prayer
The Worship and Prayer team is charged with the task of implementing and overseeing programs and opportunities in our church family that assure that the following purposes are realized. That we:
- Desire to come into God’s presence to worship Him in spirit and truth
- Hear God’s word faithfully proclaimed
- Possess a desire to obey God’s word and have a genuine willingness to be available to be used in service
- Respond in love to God and our neighbor
The areas of ministry that the Worship and Prayer team has responsibilities for include:
- The music ministry of the church including all musical groups
- Worship service planning, equipping and leading
- Children’s worship
- Prayer ministries
- Special services (communion, concerts etc.)
Examples of new programs begun this year by the team include:
- Monthly Praises and Prayers service
- Monthly church supper
- Weekly intercessory prayer list
- Prayer email
