The congregation is presently participating in a program highlighting 50 of the essential New Testament passages. Pastors will be preaching on several of these passages during the same time the congregation is reading them during the preceding week. On the Sundays in January through March Pastor Perry De Groot, Shepherding Pastor at FRC, will offer a time when the passages preached from and read might be discussed.
led by Lyle & Mary Lundgren, Herb Ritsema, Stan Vander Aarde, Harold Van Der Weide and Wally Vermeer.
This class pursues a consistent study of the Bible in a systematic fashion, using passages from both the Old and New Testaments. The focus for January is a study in the book of Matthew entitled "Christ the Fulfillment." Join them to dig deep into the Word.
led by BJ Mulder and Jay Wielenga
Jerry Bridges' has written an insightful probe uncovering sins at which we often wink. We condemn public sins but, on the other hand, may be harboring "respectable" sins, sins which disrupt and bring brokenness to our relationships with God, others and ourselves. What might be some of these "respectable" sins? Among others, anxiety, discontent, selfishness, pride, unthankfulness and anger. BJ and Jay will lead the group in discussing these often tolerated but nonetheless dangerous sins.
led by Bob Vander Schaaf
Bob will use this Ray Vanderlaan resource to help us understand the world into which Jesus was born. The first part, beginning in January, is entitled "Promised Land." This study by Ray Vanderlaan explores the conquest of the Promised Land by Joshua and his successors. It brings to light how God used the very placement of Israel to further His kingdom. This study is part of a program known as "That the World May Know."
