"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9) |

Receiving Jesus Christ as your personal Savior is the most important decision you or anyone else will ever make. If you have never made this commitment, please allow us to share Christ with you personally.
The Bible tells simply how you may become a Christian.
First, the Bible teaches that God loves us very much and wants the best for us.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Second, the Bible teaches that we are sinners. This means that we have rebelled against God either actively or passively, and want to go our own way.
"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
Third, the Bible teaches that all our attempts to return to God are useless. Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our forgiveness.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.' " (John 14:6)
Fourth, the Bible teaches that we must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.
"And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:11 - 13)
Receiving Christ is a personal decision between you and God. But we would love to have the privilege and joy of praying with you and assisting you in this eternally important matter. If you desire to know more about becoming a Christian, please contact one of our pastors or church leaders (firstoc@orangecitycomm.net), or call the church office (712-737-4909). God bless you as you seek Him.
